Australian Open tennis is incredible!
Sports January 25th, 2008I’m a tennis fan, and I’ve sure been enjoying the Australian Open this year. Incredible matches; the level of play has been remarkable. Unfortunately, not many Americans made it to far into the tournament.
Yesterday, Novak Djokovic crushed world number one Roger Federer in the semi-finals. Glad for this as Federer just wins too much! And my favorite two players on the women’s side are in the finals, Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic.

Hey Dennis,
I didn’t realize you were an avid tennis fan! Our whole family is, and we stayed up late at night and got up early in the morning to watch the Australian Open. I was disappointed there wasn’t more coverage on US TV, but I guess that’s another reason for us to sign up for the Tennis Channel.
I agree, Djokovic has had an amazing year, as have all the Serbian tennis players.
Don’t know if you remember, but my son plays tennis. He made varsity his freshman year at high school, and last fall played #2 singles as a sophomore. Tennis is a year round activity for our family!
