New Client: Vision Midwest Conference

Web Overhauls has secured a new client, 12 State Inc, a non-profit organization in Madison, Wisconsin. Web Overhauls and 12 State will be working together to to create the web site for a new event, the Vision Midwest Conference.
The conference is scheduled to premiere in October of 2010. Its target audience is blind and visually impaired individuals as well as professionals serving the blind and low vision population.

Web Overhauls' Accessible Twitter Wins Award

On September 23, Accessible Twitter was announced as the winner of the 2009 Access IT @web2.0 Award. Accessible Twitter is a web application, developed by Dennis Lembree of Web Overhauls, which makes the Twitter service accessible to all Internet users.
The Access IT @web2.0 Award is in recognition of a project, product or service that advances accessibility on web 2.0. Endorsed by the International Webmasters Association (IWA). The selection process assesses the relevance for the award, its impact, its affordability and openness, and its validation level.
Web Overhauls Seeking Online Marketing Interns

Web Overhauls is currently seeking to fill three fall internship positions. All three are "Online Marketing Specialist" positions; each will concentrate on a separate project.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Write and distribute press releases.
- Professional blogging and micro-blogging (Twitter).
- Conduct user surveys.
- Acquire product reviews and testimonials.
- Write product case studies, help documentation.
- Create video/flash demos as needed.
Candidates must be fully fluent in speaking and writing English. Marketing (and related) or computer science major is preferred; upperclassmen are preferred.
